Second Cru Classé in the Official Classification of 1855, Château Montrose is one of the essential properties of the very renowned appellation Saint-Estèphe, located on the Left Bank in the region of Bordeaux. Testifying to more than two centuries of history, Château Montrose takes its name from the color of the heather which covered the moor on the Château's grounds.

Spread over an area of ​​95 hectares, the Château Montrose vineyard has the rare distinction of being made up in one piece while being representative of a true mosaic of terroirs. Its unique location on a complex geological pile dating back several million years favors the union of gravel soils mixed with sand on the surface with a subsoil richer in clay, ideal for the water resources of the vine.
