Pomerol - Château Latour in Pomerol 1996 - 3 liters

This cru, farmed by the Moueix establishments, is located in the heart of the appellation plateau. The vines are planted on two plots, one near the church of Pomerol, on gravel soils, the other on lighter soils. Enthusiasts, who have had the chance to taste the legendary vintages of the cru such as 1961, 1959 and 1947, know to what extent this château is occasionally capable of producing extraordinary wines, equaling the best classified growths of Bordeaux. Often a little difficult to judge in its youth, the wine generally evolves well, gaining in volume and refinement.
