Tasting - Robert Parker: "A deep garnet-purple color, the 2016 Château Margaux soars out of the glass with superb scents of red currant, candied violet, kirsch and crushed blackcurrant, followed by hints of black earth plowed, forest floor, cast iron stove and cigar box, with subtle scents of lavender and oolong tea Medium-bodied, mineral accents hover over the palate with an ethereal feeling of weightlessness, but it's super intense. with layers of red and black flavors supported by a firm texture of fine silt tannins, finishing wonderfully fragrant and incredibly long." |
