Margaux - Chateau Margaux 2001
The domain
Since the 17th century, the Grand Vin de Château Margaux is recognized as one of the greatest wines in the world. Its qualities, its terroir and the passionate work for several generations have made it famous.
The Château Margaux was classified Premier Cru in 1855 and currently belongs to the Mentzelopoulos family. It was André Mentzelopoulos, a Greek with a very strong personality, who took the reins of the château, followed by his daughter Corinne, the current and sole owner of Château Margaux.
Château Margaux has an extraordinary capacity for evolution. After several years, the wine develops its finesse, its aromatic complexity and a remarkable presence in the mouth.
