Echézeaux Grand Cru - Claire Naudin (Domaine Henri Naudin-Ferrand) 2016

Claire Naudin took over the Domaine Naudin Ferrand in 1994 to put his mark on it. Resolutely adept at reasoned viticulture, integrated production, she refuses standardization and prefers an artisanal approach to sustainable viticulture, with minimal interventionism. Its wines of Burgundy tradition, wines of emotion, but also wines of the future, take into account the carbon footprint. Woman winegrower, passionate mother, she wants to pass on her heritage for our greatest pleasure.

The history of the Domaine begins in 1500, it goes through the centuries until today. In 1964 Liliane and Henri married, three daughters were born from this union and the wine labels bear the name of Henri Naudin-Ferrand. Problem there will be no man to take over the estate... In 1991 when Henri plans to dismantle the Estate, Claire, who is finishing her studies, returns with her diploma in agricultural engineering in her pocket to take over the family business.

Today and for more than 20 years, the Naudin estate has been run by a woman and it is a daily challenge.

Our estate covers approximately 22 hectares of vines, 80% in regional appellations such as the Hautes Côtes, and the rest in village appellations (Aloxe Corton), 1er Cru (Ladoix and Nuits-Saint-Georges) and Grand Cru (Echezeaux). Our history is viscerally linked to that of the “Hautes-Côtes”. After discreet beginnings, the estate developed following the birth of this appellation in 1961.

Several generations of winegrowers have built our property. One after the other, they knew how to work the vine and enhance its fruit. Each phase of succession has been a source of renewal and dynamism, of questioning and projects.
