Clos de Tart Grand Cru Monopole - Domaine du Clos de Tart 2020
The domain
A long and beautiful history: Only three owners in nine centuries. The Clos de Tart was founded in 1141 by the Bernardine nuns of the Abbey of Tart, a dependency of that of Cîteaux. In 1791, the Clos de Tart became the property of Marey-Monge then it was sold in 1932 to the Mommessin family, originally from the Mâconnais, who is the sole owner. It is a vineyard of a single plot of 7.53 hectares located on the finage of Morey-Saint-Denis in Côte de Nuits.Since its creation, this Clos has never been divided up and it is today, in Burgundy, the largest Monopole classified in Grand Cru.
