Pauillac - Château Pichon-Longueville-Baron 2010
The domain
A majestic property on the Left Bank of the Bordeaux region, Château Pichon Baron is one of the most prestigious Crus of Pauillac . Located on the Route des Châteaux du Médoc, the allure of this Second Cru Classé in 1855 leaves no one indifferent. With its imposing stature, it is reflected with grandeur and brilliance in the mirror of water that rests at its feet, under which is located the incredible buried cellar. Having come under the AXA group's control at the end of the 1980s, "Pichon Baron" has undergone significant modernization. Equipped with modern infrastructure and with a largely replanted vineyard, Château Pichon Baron has reached the heights of excellence, equaling the Premier Grands Crus Classés.
A true mosaic of terroirs and superbly located near the Gironde estuary, the Pichon Baron vineyard extends over 73 hectares of vines planted on perfectly drained Médoc gravel soils.
