The domain

Matarocchio was born from the desire to create in Guado al Tasso a wine that was the maximum expression of a single grape variety and a single plot of vineyard. A wine of extraordinary integrity, with great aging potential, an authentic expression of Cabernet Franc in purity.

Located about 80 kilometers southwest of Florence near the medieval village of Bolgheri in the region of the Tuscan Maremma in Italy, the Guado al Tasso estate enjoys an ideal location, in the heart of the famous appellation DOC Bolgheri Superiore.
