The domain

Located in the municipality of Bibbona, in Alta Maremma, the estate adjoins to the north the famous village of Bolgheri. The estate extends at an altitude of 90 meters above sea level. The exceptional terroir, the unique soil of the Bolgheri Conglomerate, the natural conditions, exposure to the wind and the microclimate combine to allow Vines of exceptional quality grow and produce unique, authentic and distinctive wines.

The project began in 2001 when the brothers Lodovico and Piero Antinori, their nephew Niccolo' Marzichi Lenzi (general manager of the company and son of their sister Ilaria) and the shareholder Umberto Mannoni decided to give it life and write the history of Tenuta di Biserno and Tenuta Campo di Sasso.

The Tenuta di Biserno estate extends over more than 40 hectares and is located 90 meters above sea level. The soils are very stony, mainly alluvial, with a little calcareous clay, rich in calcium carbonate. . The vineyards are cultivated mainly with Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The combination of the maritime influence of the nearby Mediterranean and the distinct aspects of the different vineyards gives rise to two distinct production styles: Biserno and Il Pino di Biserno.

Symbol of the estate, Biserno is its emblematic and most prized wine, designed in the Bordeaux style and made from the best grapes from the most suitable soils.
