Armagnac - Château de Laubade 1967
The domain
The Château de Laubade is an agricultural and wine-growing property located in Sorbets, in the Gers, in the heart of the noblest terroir of Bas Armagnac. Built in 1870, the 105 hectare estate has belonged to the Lesgourgues family for three generations. In search of excellence, it is currently Denis, supported by his sister Jeanne and his brother Arnaud, who continues the efforts aimed at creating the most unique Armagnacs.
Today, the Lesgourgues family offers legendary Armagnacs, created and produced using artisanal know-how, always in a spirit of innovation and eco-responsibility.
An undeniable reference in France and internationally in more than 50 countries on the most beautiful tables and in the most prestigious hotels, bars and wine merchants in the world, the magnificent residence is home to more than 150 years of history. Having belonged to illustrious personalities at the end of the 19th century such as its founder Joseph Noulens, great French statesman and his wife Jeanne Paquin, fashion designer in Paris, the Château de Laubade crosses time between eternal tradition and renewed modernity .
It is therefore very logical that the property is one of the first three houses in Armagnac to receive the State Living Heritage Company label in 2015 and has had ISO 9001 Quality certification since 2008.
Awarded in 2020 the Spirit of the Year Prize 2020 by La Revue des Vins de France and awarded for nearly fifty years in the biggest competitions in France and internationally, Château de Laubade is the house with the most medals with 250 titles at the Talents de l'Armagnac in Eauze, Concours Général Agricole de Paris, San Francisco World Spirits Competition in the USA, Ultimate Beverage Challenge NY in the USA, International Wine and Spirits Competition and International Spirits Challenge London and World Spirits Awards.
