Saint-Émilion Grand Cru - Château La Gaffelière - 2015
The domain
Without giving in to fads, our family lays claim to a typically French winemaker signature, inscribed between tradition and modernity. This respect for the terroir is linked to our origins. We were born there, in this vineyard with a unique location backing onto the southern hillside of Saint-Emilion.
The alliance of hillside wines and the foot of the coast produces a nectar that is powerful, distinguished and silky at the same time. This harmony is found in all the vintages of our Château.
We like to share our wine, to discover its finesse and elegance, the result of know-how passed down over generations.

Tasting: Medium to deep garnet-purple in colour, the 2015 La Gaffeliere exhibits a slightly reluctant and brooding nose of black truffles, fertile loam and mossy bark over a core of warm plums, crushed black berries and black cherries more a touch of iron ore. Medium to full-bodied, with firm and very finely grainy tannins, discreet fruit layers and great freshness, it ends with a long finish. |
